Dear flute friends,
We are happy to announce several activities of IFSB. For the sixth year we’ll organize our IFSB Summer School. From July 16th till 21th 2018 the IFSB team (with flute teachers Aldo Baerten, Peter Verhoyen, Robert Pot, Blaz Snoj, pianists Stefan De Schepper and Pieter-Jan Verhoyen, Alexander technique coach Helga Henckens and junior coach Annemie Verhoyen) welcomes professional flute players, students, advanced amateur flute players and young players in the beautiful Monastery School of Zevenkerken near Bruges. We offer a six day seminar with masterclasses, workshops, warming up sessions, individual lessons, piccolo lessons, Alexander technique, audition training, flute choir and a junior day in an inspiring atmosphere. You can choose to apply for the whole course;(with of without lodging) or day tickets for one, two of more days. For the youngsters (6 till 12 years) there is a special Junior Day on Friday.
Besides the Summer School several Festival Days will be organized, which are open to flute and piccolo players of all ages and different levels. The IFSB team offers the participants a varied program with warming up sessions, individual lessons (flute, piccolo, alto flute, bass flute), a teachers concert and a students concert. For those considering to begin professional flute studies, these Festival Days are the ideal opportunity to meet the teachers and to get more information concerning admission tests. During the Festival Day at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp (18.03.2018) flutist Jean-Michel Tanguy will be our Special Guest. For the second year in a row we will have our Festival Day in the Netherlands (17.02.2018). This time we will welcome all of you at the Adams Flute Center in Ittervoort. For the very first time we will organize a Festival Day in the French speaking part of Belgium (25.02.2018). The music academy of Braine L’Alleud will become a flute paradise. Besides our IFSB event, the Belgian qualifying round of the Benelux Flute Competition will also be held that day.
Sign in by sending the application form by mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or by post to ’t Kloosterhof 67, 8200 St Michiels (Belgium). Application forms and more information can be found at www.ifsb.be. Don’t hesitate to send us an email if you have more questions.
