The UNESCO decided today that the tradition of organ building and organ music in Germany is part of the intangible cultural heritage. For this event, we chose a video with organ music by László Fassang this week - and it is even a Christmas song you can listen to!

More videos by László Fassang here.

It wasn't easy to decide this week for one video, so there are two:

1. "Viola Galante" with Pauline Sachse and Andreas Hecker - a good example for an unexitedly but well done album trailer. The music is beautiful, too...enjoy!

2. Leonidas Kavakos, Emanuel Ax and Yo Yo Ma, three fantastic musicians recorded the Brahms Piano Trios. There are a few excerpts on YouTube and here is the complete  3rd movement from the C Minor Trio… Read more

The Echo Klassik is finally over...phew! What do you say? Did you watch it or not?

My comment: i was reading THIS article today and had the show in mind. ;-))

Let's stay in Hamburg at the Elphi, usually musicians are asked about their opinion/love to soccer, and now a player is being interviewed about his relation to classical music. Very nice and cool answers by Christoph Metzelder!

The upcoming week features quite a lot of cello highlights - above all, the Cello Akademie Rutesheim began a few days ago! Both Jens Peter Maintz and Claudio Bohórquez teach in the masterclasses from October 29th to November 4th, and of course, they play themselves in several concerts, too. In the professors' chamber music concert on October 31st, Claudio Bohórquez interprets some of Johannes Brahms'… Read more
