Concerts and events with the premiertone artists
There are surprisingly few concerts with the premiertone artists during this week - but the remaining ones are even more exciting! Nicola Jürgensen, for example, appears together with the double bass players of the WDR Sinfonieorchester on June 18th, interpreting Piazzolla, Brumby and Bottesini in Rösrath. Meanwhile, Claudio Bohórquez plays in the olfactory concert "Incense of Music No. 19" in Berlin, also on June 18th. And whoever has missed the concert "Einmal möcht' ich wieder tanzen" with pianist Elena Gurevich last week gets a second opportunity to listen to the pieces from music theatre on June 18th in Darmstadt.
Sophie Dartigalongue, who has just returned from her concert trip to Japan, appears even three times during this week: She interpretes Weber's Bassoon Concerto together with Mecklenburgische Staatskapelle on June 12th, 13th and 14th in Schwerin. Another premiertone artist who gives several concerts during the next days is Jasmin-Isabel Kühne. After playing Händel's Harp Concerto in Bad Segeberg on June 13th, she appears with musica assoluta in Bremen on June 14th and with her Duo Lumière in Saasenberg on June 18th.
The premiertone artists are also present abroad: On June 13th, Trio Karénine interpretes Beethoven's Triple Concerto with the Orchestre de Caen, while Gerhard Siegel appears as Mime in "Das Rheingold" and "Siegfried" in Budapest on June 15th and 17th. Finally, Iason Keramidis gives a concert with the Akamas Duo and works by Piazzolla and Massenet on June 14th in Pafos (Cyprus).
Until June 16th, duos consisting of piano plus violin, viola, cello, flute, oboe/english horn or clarinet(s) can apply for the Swedish International Duo Competetion. Musicians should be between 18 and 30 years old.
