Concerts and events with the premiertone artists

We already pointed out the International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn in our last preview. This week, we are already looking forward to the final of this competition: The event with the three finalists takes place on December 9th and is going to be presented by Daniel Finkernagel, there is also a live stream. Artistic director and president of the competition's jury is - once again - Pavel Gililov.

Apart from the competition, Daniel Finkernagel presents WDR 3 Mosaik two times during the upcoming week: on December 6th and 7th from 6 am to 9 am. For everyone outside the coverage area, you can listen to the live stream here.

Claudio Bohórquez gives a concert at the Piano Salon Christophori in Berlin on December 9th. He interprets works by Piazzolla and Gustavo Beytelmann with Oscar Rubén Bohórquez and Beytelmann himself. Reinhard Goebel also travels to Berlin this week: He conducts the Karajan-Akademie in a concert on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of Telemann's death. Reinhard Goebel also conducts a concert in Augsburg on December 10th - there are works by the three brothers Carl Philipp Emanuel, Johann Christoph Friedrich and Wilhelm Friedemann Bach on the program.

Ramón Ortega Quero plays the solo part of Mozart's Oboe Concerto in C major with the Württembergische Kammerphilharmonie Reutlingen in Heidelberg on December 10th. In Munich, Thorsten Johanns appears with Moritz Eggert and other musicians on December 8th. He also gives a concert with the Deutsche Bläsersolisten in Weinheim on December 10th. The Trio Elego interprets works by Beethoven, Juon, Poulenc, Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Schoenfield in Frankfurt on December 10th.

Jasmin-Isabel Kühne gives even four concerts during this week: She performs with the Marinemusikkorps Kiel on December 4th, appears with the Mitteldeutsche Kammerphilharmonie in Stendal on December 5th, visits Wolfsburg on December 8th and plays at an opening day in Hanover on December 9th. Nils Mönkemeyer begins the musical Christmas time with two Advent Concerts at the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern on December 8th and 9th, and Oren Shevlin interprets works by Mozart, Beethoven and Dvořák on December 10th.

For László Fassang, there are two more upcoming performances of Eötvös' "Multiversum", this time in Frankfurt (December 7th/8th). Also, Ilia Papandreou appears as Medea in Cherubini's opera once again on December 9th in Erfurt.

Robert Koller takes part in a portrait concert of the composer Gerald Bennett in Zurich on December 9th. The Kuss Quartet travels to Italy for two concerts: with Avi Avital in Firenze on December 4th and with Mojca Erdmann in Triest on December 6th. Clemens Schuldt conducts the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne in Geneva on December 6th, and Daniel Raiskin conducts two concerts with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife on December 7th and 8th - he has been appointed First Guest Conductor of this orchestra this season! The Novus String Quartet performs with the Belcea Quartet in Daejeon on December 9th, and Marianna Shirinyan interprets Beethoven's Quintet for Piano and Winds as well as Messiaen's famous "Quatuor pour la fin du temps" in Oslo on December 6th.

Competitions

As already in our last preview, we would like to point out two competitions (both for pianists) for which you can apply until December 15th: the Concours international de musique de l'orchestre philharmonique du Maroc and the International Competition "Maria Canals" in Barcelona.
